Based on federal assessments, the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) and Antifa are both considered elements of far-left extremism but are separate entities. There is no evidence from these sources of an organizational connection or collaboration between ALF and Antifa to commit terrorism, though both groups have been subject to domestic terrorism scrutiny.

Animal Liberation Front (ALF)

  • The Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security have named the ALF as a serious domestic terrorist threat, defining its tactics as "eco-terrorism".

  • The ALF and the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) are considered a "converging movement" with similar ideologies and some shared personnel.

  • From 1996 to 2002, ALF and ELF were responsible for more than 600 criminal acts, causing over $42 million in damages.

  • Actions attributed to ALF primarily involve property damage and targeted activism, such as raiding animal research facilities and fur farms.

  • Some ALF supporters, like those who freed mink from fur farms, have been prosecuted under the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act.

Antifa

  • Antifa is a decentralized anti-fascist, anti-racist movement that, like ALF, is on the far-left political spectrum.

  • It does not have a formal leadership structure or organization.

  • In September 2025, President Trump signed an executive order labeling Antifa a "domestic terrorist organization," though its effectiveness and legality are subject to debate.

  • Tactics associated with Antifa include protesting, counter-demonstrations, and sometimes violence and intimidation.

  • Reports from the Counter Extremism Project note that while far-right attacks have resulted in more fatalities, elements of the far-left, including some individuals associated with Antifa, have become more visible and destructive.

Leftist Radicals lost, but still opposing mandates of the People represented by President Trump.
"restraining order" prohibiting Alla Zorikova to write true facts had been "obtained" through false representation. Federal lawsuit filed against judge issuing the order while violating people's constitutional rights.
